The fuel sensor, also known as the fuel sender or fuel level sensor, is an important component of the excavator’s fuel system. Its primary function is to monitor the fuel level in the fuel tank and relay this information to the excavator’s control system. This ensures that the excavator operates normally when there is sufficient fuel, which is crucial for the continuous operation and work efficiency of the excavator. Specifically, the fuel sensor ensures stable engine operation by monitoring the fuel injection quantity. If the fuel sensor malfunctions, it can lead to inaccurate fuel injection, thereby affecting the performance and efficiency of the excavator. On a more specific level, other sensors on the excavator, such as the common rail pressure sensor and oil pressure switch, each have different tasks that work together to ensure the normal operation of the engine. For example, the common rail pressure sensor provides feedback to the ECU regarding the high-pressure diesel pressure in the common rail chamber, while the oil pressure switch detects the engine oil pressure and relays this signal to the CPU to trigger alarms or control the engine’s automatic power reduction when necessary. The coordinated operation of these sensors ensures the safe and efficient functioning of the excavator.
