The main reasons for white smoke from excavators
Cold weather: in cold weather, the diesel fuel is not atomized well, resulting in the production of oil vapor, which is discharged with the exhaust gas to form white smoke.
Fuel quality problems: high water content in the fuel or poor quality of diesel fuel will lead to the combustion of a large amount of water vapor, the formation of white smoke.
Failure of the oil-water separator: If the oil-water separator is unable to effectively separate the water, the water in the fuel will produce a large amount of water vapor during combustion in the cylinder, forming white smoke.
Coolant into the cylinder: cylinder liner or cylinder gasket damage, resulting in coolant into the cylinder, mixed with fuel combustion produces a large amount of water vapor, the formation of white smoke.
Injector failure: poor atomization or failure of the injector nozzle, resulting in incomplete combustion of fuel, the formation of white smoke.
Improper adjustment of fuel supply timing: Improper adjustment of fuel supply timing leads to inappropriate fuel injection time, resulting in the formation of white smoke.
Solution
Replace the diesel fuel and clean the fuel tank: If there is more water in the fuel, it is necessary to replace the diesel fuel, clean the water deposited at the bottom of the fuel tank, and replace the oil-water separator and diesel fuel filter.
Check and replace the fuel injector: if the fuel injector atomization is poor or malfunctioning, you need to check and replace the fuel injector.
Check and replace the cylinder liner and cylinder gasket: if coolant enters the cylinder, it is necessary to check whether the cylinder liner and cylinder gasket are cracked or damaged, and replace them in time.
Adjust the oil supply timing: If the oil supply timing is not adjusted properly, the oil supply advance angle needs to be readjusted.
Regularly check the oil-water separator: make sure the oil-water separator functions properly and remove the separated water in time.
