Excavators typically operate in high-load conditions, which can result in the generation of a significant amount of heat by the engine. In order to maintain the normal operation of the engine and extend its lifespan, an effective cooling system is required. The cooling fan, as an essential component of the cooling system, helps in dissipating heat effectively by forcing airflow through the radiator, thus keeping the engine running within the appropriate temperature range. This forced air cooling method is particularly crucial in preventing engine overheating, as overheating can lead to engine damage or performance degradation.

Furthermore, the design and operation of the cooling fan also take into account energy efficiency and environmental requirements, with its power consumption typically accounting for around 5% to 8% of the engine’s output power. With increasing emphasis on environmental protection and energy efficiency, the design and optimization of cooling fans are receiving more attention to ensure that necessary cooling effects are provided while minimizing energy consumption and environmental impact as much as possible.
