The main function of the excavator safety valve component is to protect the hydraulic system from excessive pressure, prevent the formation of a vacuum inside the system, and ensure safe operation.

The role of the excavator safety valve component is mainly reflected in the following aspects:

1. Protecting the Hydraulic System from Excessive Pressure**: When the working device of the excavator is subjected to abnormal external impact, the cylinder may experience abnormally high pressure. In such cases, the safety valve can open to release the excessive pressure back to the oil tank, thus protecting the related hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic pipes from damage. This function is not limited to just the cylinders but also extends to the entire hydraulic system. By setting the maximum pressure for the entire hydraulic system during operation, the safety valve opens and routes the overflow hydraulic oil back to the tank when the system pressure exceeds the set pressure, preventing the pressure in the hydraulic system from becoming too high.

2. Preventing the Formation of a Vacuum Inside the System**: When negative pressure occurs in the cylinder, the safety valve can act as a suction valve, replenishing oil from the tank pipeline back to the negative pressure area to prevent the formation of a vacuum and cavitation. This function is achieved by the pressure of the oil in the tank acting on the annular force surface, pushing the suction valve open to allow oil to replenish the negative pressure area, preventing the formation of air bubbles and cavitation.

3. Ensuring Safe Operation**: In terms of operation, the excavator travel motor safety valve, through its specific construction and operating principles, ensures the safety of the excavator during movement. Components such as the reducer motor, parking brake, brake valve, balance valve, two-stage relief valve, buffer plunger, check valve, two-speed switching valve, etc., work together to ensure the safety and stability of the excavator during movement processes such as starting and braking.
